Therapy sessions are provided by Master's Level clinicians licensed in the State of Virginia. They have years of experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and groups. The clinicians on staff include:
Beverley Boothe Mooring, MSW, LCSW, LICSW
Beverley Boothe-Mooring is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Virginia and the District of Columbia. She is also a Certified Imago Therapist. After working in Private Practice in Haymarket, VA., Ms. Boothe-Mooring established Life Enrichment Counseling Center in April 2005 and relocated to Gainesville, VA.
Ms. Boothe-Mooring has a Masters of Social Work degree from Howard University, and undergraduate degrees in Social Work and Psychology from York University. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, the American Counseling Association, and the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors.
Ms. Boothe-Mooring has worked as a licensed social worker since 1993 and worked in the field of social services since 1984.
Over the years, she has worked in private, non-profit, and government agencies serving children, adolescents, and families. Ms. Boothe-Mooring recently worked as a Program Manager for the District of Columbia Child Welfare System supervising clinicians
who provided services to children and families with a history of abuse and neglect. Other work experience includes providing
therapy for adolescents, individuals, couples, and families from a holistic perspective.
Kimberly Ragan, MSW, LCSW
Ms. Ragan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Virginia. She graduated with a Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia in May 2003. Ms. Ragan has had numerous articles published and has conducted extensive research on post-partum depression in women.
Ms. Ragan works with both adolescents and adults at Life Enrichment Counseling Center. Her specialty area is treating women who are experiencing post-partum depression through individual or group sessions. She is highly skilled in the use of cognitive behavioral therapy in treating depression and other mental health disorders. Prior to moving to Virginia, Ms. Ragan worked as an Intake Coordinator at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences with the Emory Women's Mental Health Program. Ms. Ragan also has experience working with abused and neglected children in the foster care system and providing home-based therapy.
Carolina Walsh, EdD, LPC
Dr. Walsh is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia. She graduated with a Doctor of Education in Counseling Psychology from Argosy University/American School of Professional Psychology in June 2008. Dr. Walsh is an Imago Couples Therapist. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.
Dr. Walsh is a member of the American Counseling and the American College Counseling Associations. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Argosy University, American School of Professional Psychology in the District of Columbia.
Dr. Walsh works with adults, couples, and groups at Life Enrichment Counseling Center. Her experience includes working as a Mental Health Bilingual Counselor at the Center for Multicultural Human Services in Falls Church, Virginia, where she worked with adolescents, adults, and families providing counseling services. She also counseled victims of domestic violence, rape and post traumatic stress disorder. In addition to working at Life Enrichment Counseling Center, she is the Director of Residence Life and Student Programs at Georgetown University, where she responds to student issues, including mental health concerns
Marie Black, MA, LPC
Marie Black is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Virginia. She graduated from Marymount University in May 1997 with a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology. She also received a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology in May 1992 from George Mason University and has an undergraduate degree in psychology from James Madison University. She is a member of the American Counseling Association.
Ms. Black has worked in private, non-profit and government agencies since 1994, providing substance abuse and mental health counseling services to adult clients. She is experienced with both individual and group mental health and substance abuse treatment and has counseled clients with a range of issues, including domestic violence, sexual abuse, anxiety, depression, grief /loss, and body image and eating disorders. Ms. Black's clinical areas of interest include addictions, women's issues, self-esteem, and stress reduction. She takes a mindfulness-based and holistic approach to psychotherapy. At Life Enrichment Counseling Center, Inc., she specializes in both adult addiction and women's issues and she is experienced in the education and counseling of family members of addicted persons.
Donalee Rooks, LCSW
Ms. Rooks is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Virginia with a broad base of experience. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from George Mason University and a Master of Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. Ms Rooks has worked for the University of Virginia Medical Center, Arlington Public Schools and Charlottesville Virginia mental health services.
Ms. Rooks is certified in treating sexual addiction and practices from an Interpersonal Neurobiology perspective. Ms. Rooks works collaboratively with her clients focusing on strengths and clearly delineated goals to support people in their process of growth. Ms. Rooks sees clients aged 13 and up, providing individual, couples, family and group counseling. She is also able to incorporate Christian principles in her counseling if requested.
Shirrie Jones, MS
Shirrie Jones graduated with a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Counseling and received a certificate in Professional Counseling from Capella University. She also received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from George Mason University in 2001.
Ms. Jones has worked in non-profit, government, and the juvenile correction system. She is passionate about her work with youth and has worked with adolescents since 2000. At Life Enrichment Counseling Center, she works with couples who are dealing with relationship, intimacy and communication issues and with individual and families who have been dealing with depression, anger management, anxiety, blended families, and low self-esteem. She also incorporates Christian principles in her counseling sessions for individuals who request it.
Ms. Jones is a member of the Northern Virginia Licensed Professional Counselors and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. She is dedicated to helping couples, families, and individuals improve their relationships and quality of life.
Nora Lutyk, MA Intern
Nora Lutyk will receive a Master of Professional Counseling Degree from Liberty University in 2012. She is currently an intern with Life Enrichment Counseling Center. Ms. Lutyk holds a B.A. in English from George Mason University.
Ms. Lutyk has worked in church ministry for the past 20 years, providing leadership for youth, college, and women's groups. She provided pastoral counseling for engaged and married couples, individuals, and adolescents.
Areas of particular interest would include issues pertaining to infertility, miscarriage, abortion, and adoption. Two of Ms. Lutyk's children were adopted. She also has experience preparing engaged couples for marriage, working on emotional and sexual intimacy issues for married couples, and helping individuals with depression, anxiety, social anxiety, and post traumatic stress issues. For adolescents and college age, Ms. Lutyk has experience working on academic performance, social anxiety, self-image, sexual issues, and bullying.
Ms. Lutyk provides counseling that addresses not only the psychological, but the spiritual, social, and physical needs of the client as well. She is extensively experienced in Christian/Biblical counseling, which she will integrate into the counseling experience upon request. Ms. Lutyk is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors and the American Counseling Association.
